In episode 97, Rosie and Jessica overcome the sheer hilarity of introducing the podcast to update you on their visit to Comic Con, lowering the average age of gigs and going to Northampton for a haircut. They somehow, 97 episodes in, only just get round to doing their Top 5 Days of Fun with a round-up of ways to spend half term and then there’s a bumper-packed What Have We Seen This Week. Vote early, vote often!
In episode 96, Rosie and Jessica happily combine the topics of decluttering and going shopping to get more stuff. They discuss vegan buffets, enter into the spirit of the London Marathon through the medium of breakfast foods and discuss the merits of Shandy as a sports drink. Then Rosie makes some sweeping generalisations about American storage. Such fun!
In episode 95, Rosie and Jessica are just about prepared to talk about Jessica’s new found period of funemployment. Rosie’s had two breakfasts and access to some Tangfastics and Jessica has shredded just about anything that can be shredded. Austenland gets a late-review and we check in with the Chichester Nobbly Bobblys.
In episode 94, Rosie and Jessica report back from one of their Literal Days of Fun, a trip to the seaside at Margate. There is an unusual use of yoghurt in a lift. Plus, Snack of the Day brings up some quality (not quality) television chat. The Late Review returns with a discussion of the film In A World and your hosts are menaced by penguins.
In episode 93, Rosie and Jessica catch up on Galentine’s, Valentine’s and 90th birthday parties. There’s a rogue carb-based Top 5 and the arrival of a new feature, the Late Review, where Rosie and Jessica discuss the 2014 movie version of Into The Woods. Then it all gets a bit weird and there’s lots of talk about pants.
In episode 92, Rosie and Jessica report back from fixing the world’s problems (you’re welcome.) Some dodgy lightbulb-based cooking tips are swiftly rescued by a Top 5 Cookery Shows which, as with all food-based Top 5s, is VERY intense. We hope your week is not too troughy.
In episode 91, Rosie and Jessica return with their annual quiz of the year! Expect at least two questions about Candice from Bake Off, a whole round on Rosie and improper use of cold cucumber. Quiz! Quiz! Quiz!
Operation Get Festive: Christmas Eve 2016[ 4:25 ]Play Now
Here to rescue your 2016, it’s the annual Christmas Eve reading of Clement C. Moore’s Twas the Night Before Christmas by Rosie and Jessica’s dad. We’ll be making time for it around our annual screening of The Muppet Christmas Carol and the dinnerladies Christmas specials.
In this special Operation Get Festive Episode, Rosie and Jessica are fundraising for the very important Crisis at Christmas campaign. You can find out more about Crisis at their website and donate to receive a special bonus episode at Rosie and Jessica’s Just Giving page.
In episode 90, Rosie and Jessica pass the tissue box as they share their Top 5 Tearjerkers, but not before Jessica stuns and wows us with tales of packed lunches and mouse deaths. There are very different fancy dress costumes and the prospect of Australian-Canadian seasonal swapping. This episode is sponsored by Rodent Conspiracy’s new album A Fun Risk of Explosion.
